The Atlanta Kookaburras Australian Rules Football Club are seeking applicants for a Head Coach for the 2014 season.
Experience with coaching Australian Rules Football or experience playing the game at any level would be considered essential in this role. However this role may suit any individual with a passion for the game of Aussie Rules Football living in the greater Atlanta area with experience coaching an active amateur or semi-professional team sport.
This position is a volunteer role however but some compensation for expenses will be available for the successful applicant.
Some of the expectations of the Head Coach would be to organize and lead practice sessions 1-2 times per week from March through to October including management of tactical match strategies, player conditioning, game day coaching and be proactive guiding players participating in local AARFL games. The ability to teach new players correct skills as well as modern game day strategies would be an advantage. The Kookaburras however have several people to help in an assistant coaches role for this area should it be needed.
Some travel will be expected in this role as the Kookaburras travel to cities such as Baton Rouge and Nashville for away games and are planning to attend the National Championships in Dublin Ohio in October 2014.
