Kookaburras nominated for East v West in Dallas |

The 3rd annual East v West USAFL All Star games is fast approaching in Dallas on April 30th 2005. The Atlanta Kookaburras are pleased to announce 12 players have been nominated for the two games set to be the first broadcast to USA viewers via the new USAFL telecast agreement with the ASTN Network. Current Revolution squad members BJ Gambaro, Ben Crist & Travis Quigley head up the list. They are competing with 35 other American players for spots on the tour to Melbourne Australia in August for the International Cup against eleven other nations from around the globe. Other Kookaburras nominated are Kookas Best first year player in 2004 Joey Kametz, evergreen Alan Mobley, former Nashville star Chad Huie and recent arrival from North Carolina Sam Stern. Australian players nominated for the two games which will see a mix of the best local and Aussie players include USAFL legend & twice Captain of the Kookaburras Brent Bacon, two time Best & Fairest and MAAFL Best & Fairest Bjorn Farrugia as well as 2004 stars Ricky Challen, Ed Robinson and the hard hitting Irishman Barry Collins. The Atlanta Kookaburras congratulate all these players and wish them well in their endeavors to play in the best game of football seen to date in the USA.
