The Kookaburras coming off a big win a few weeks back could not repeat the dose on their latest away tour to play the Cincinnati Dockers last Saturday. Traveling with a small but solid squad the Kookas jumped out to an early lead in the warm conditions but faltered through the second and third quarters when it mattered most. The Kookaburras tried valiantly to come from behind in the last quarter but it was not to be and a deserved win went to the Cinci outfit by 5 points. Final scores Cincinnati 10.10.70 to Atlanta 10.5.65. The game also saw another player reach the coveted 50 games played target in Alan Mobley who lead the team for the day in the absence of his Captain Ben Crist. The Kookaburras next test will be another road game to face league leaders the Milwaukee Bombers on August 12th. The Bombers will be looking to cement their place on top of the MAAFL table and go one step closer to their first MAAFL Premiership. The Kookaburras will be geared up to spoil their party.
