Atlanta Kookaburras

The Atlanta Kookaburras started off their 2008 season in the best way possible with a comfortable win yesterday against the visiting Florida Redbacks. Played on a field that was rather affected by the recent stormy weather in Atlanta the Kookas started slowly but after quarter time took the game away from the Redbacks.

The Kookaburras welcomed back a few players out of retirement like Brent Bacon and Alan Bowdler plus they had 4 players playing their first full scale game of footy. This will hopefully lead on to more successes for the team as they prepare for a road game to Baton Rouge next month before their next home game on April 19th against the Nashville Kangaroos. Be sure to get your tickets for that one, it will be a ripper!
