Kookas Announce 2011 Coach

On top of their recent announcement of sponsorship from Carpetcare, the Atlanta Kookaburras announced today the appointment of Wayne Kraska to position of Head Coach for the 2011 season.

Wayne has an impressive resume:

• An Atlanta Kookaburras and USAFL Life Member,
• Head coach of the Lady Kookaburras and US Freedom Women's team (taking the former to 3 consecutive US National Titles and the latter on a successful tour to Australia)
• Head coach and captain of premiership winning teams in Australia
• Head coach of the Atlanta Kookaburras
• Winner of numerous Best and Fairest (MVP) awards both here in Atlanta and in Australia
• The only player in Kookaburras history to kick more than 100 goals in his career
• Many years of experience in both playing and coaching the world's premier sport

Wayne will bring an Aussie coaching style to the game as the club moves forward toward the 2011 US Nationals in Austin TX.

Please welcome Wayne back to the head coaching job and get ready for some exciting games ahead, as the Kookas take on Boston, North Carolina, Baton Rouge and Nashville in June.
